Blanking Hold Down Assembly

The next evolution in Flat-Top Blanking. MTI has created a low-cost alternative for the upper blanking hold-down assembly which will reduce your cost over 45%. Our Patent-pending, Non-Jamming, Heavy Duty Hold-Down unit is manufactured using a naturally lubricating, high impact polymer blend that decreases the wear resistance between moving parts and results in the increased life of the assembly.These units have tested over 5,500,000 impressions at 10,200 sheets per hour without jamming. The assembly's rigid connection to the presser bar results in an ideal blanking system for high press speed and long production runs.The guide housing pivots and prevents the presser rail from jamming.And, the added benefit of our universal design allows this unit to be used independently or in conjunction with multiple units along a presser bar, significantly reducing your inventory costs.

The predetermined height* of the presser bar assembly eliminates the need for individual adjustment. An additional rail clip can be added to hold the presser bar at 90 degrees from the direction of travel, making this ideal for tight areas.The safety lock stays in to prevent swivel of the rail, but can be removed to allow the presser rail to accommodate uneven pressures. The rigid presser rail comes with adhesive rubber and all hardware.The bolts and screws have thread-locking patches, eliminating the possibility of the units coming loose during press operation. *For owners of early model Bobst® 142ER Presses, the strut can be cut back to accommodate the low height restrictions.
