TOURQUE QUOIN KEY
Bar-Plate’s new Torque Quoin Key reduces the chance of breaking the quoin.The most common reason for failure of a quoin is over tightening.Too much force is applied to tighten the key either by hand, hammer or tool extension.
Our new Torque Quoin Key allows 105 inch pounds of torque, which is more than sufficient to hold the die in place even on Bobst presses. In fact, Bobst recommends 80 inch pounds. Bar-Plate’s new Torque Quoin Key can be used to loosen the quoin simply by sliding the barrel down over the retention nut. Slide it back up and your ready to tighten the quoin.
