Shim Packing is synonymous with many words and terms, but it is primarily associated with makeready. Bar-Plate’s Shim Packing Paper has multiple uses and is often used as a spot sheet, top sheet, packing sheet, overlay and/or underlay sheet, hanger sheet, leveling sheet or filler sheet. Our three thicknesses and three roll widths give you the variety of alternatives you need to achieve an accurate and precise makeready.

Our Shim Packing Paper is specifically designed for diecutting. Its micro-metrically precise caliper, great hardness, durability and strength ensure the ultimate in a kiss impression. This gives you cleaner cutting and creasing and longer wear of the knives, thereby reducing down-time. Makeready tape can easily be applied to Shim Packing Paper.

The ability to choose from our three thicknesses of .002″, .003″ & .006″ when making ready your press allows you to achieve a precise, even and balanced cutting solution. Common roll widths of 36″, 45″ and 54″ are available in all three thicknesses.
